Daisy Model 108 and 108-39 Rifle...
Years Produced 1939-1945

Description:
The Daisy Model 108 is important... Because
it was the Mother of the Red Ryder series. This model was
the first to have the full length under barrel loading tube...
Which characterizes all the Red Ryder's.
Variations:
The First Models made in 1939 were supposedly
Nickel plated. Very Rare and I only know of 1.
The Model 108 first appeared in 1939 as the
"Lone Scout"... but the Boy Scouts of America complained
about this and the Model was dropped.
In the same year, 1939, Daisy continued production...
calling the model 108-39 as the "Lightning Loader"
